These terms and conditions apply to every contract between SatoShe GmbH and the participants in its educational programmes. Differing terms apply only where they have been agreed in writing.

For corporate assignments, the terms of the respective quotation apply in addition. Where the two conflict, the quotation takes precedence over these terms.

2 Offer and conclusion of contract

The way the offers are presented on this website is an invitation to book and not yet a binding offer. The contract comes into effect once the booking has been completed and confirmed by us.

Bookings for the 8-week programme and for the membership run through Circle, registrations for the SatoShe Sessions and for the free webinar run through Luma. The terms of those platforms apply to their use in addition to these terms.

The offers are aimed at women aged 16 and over. For minors, the consent of a parent or legal guardian is required.

3 Services

The scope of each service follows from the description on this website at the time of booking.

• Bitcoin Foundations Self-Paced: eight modules and one bonus module as recordings, live question and answer sessions, and six months of access to the community in the SatoShe Circle.
• Bitcoin Foundations Live-Guided: the same content, plus two guided live calls per month and twelve months of access to the community.
• SatoShe Circle: twelve live calls per year, held in English with women from many countries, access to the private community and four tickets for SatoShe Sessions per year.
• SatoShe Sessions: attendance at a single evening, on site in Zurich or online. Most on-site sessions are German-language events. Where an evening is held in English, this is stated on the event page.
• One-to-one coaching: appointments by arrangement, scope as agreed.

4 Prices and payment

All prices are in Swiss francs and excluding VAT. Where value added tax is payable, it is shown separately on the invoice.

The amount is due on booking unless something else has been agreed. Access to the content is unlocked once the payment has arrived.

For corporate assignments, price and payment period follow the quotation. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are payable within 30 days.

5 Right of return for the 8-week programme

Within 14 days of registering you can cancel for a full refund, provided you have not viewed more than the first module. No questions asked, no hurdles.

An email to the address given above is enough to cancel. The refund is made by the same route as the payment, usually within ten working days.

Once the 14 days have passed, or once more than the first module has been viewed, there is no entitlement to a refund. The reason is that the content is digital and can be used in full simply by watching it.

6 Term and cancellation of the membership

Membership of the SatoShe Circle comes as an annual or a monthly membership. It renews automatically for as long as it is not cancelled.

You can cancel at any time, there is no notice period. The period you have already paid for then runs to its end in full: with a monthly membership the current month, with an annual membership the current year. After that nothing further is charged and access ends.

You cancel in your account settings at Circle or by email. There is no pro rata refund for the current period, and in return your access stays in place until that period ends.

7 Sessions, cancellations and postponements

Tickets for SatoShe Sessions are not refunded. If you cannot come, simply pass your place on to another woman and let us know briefly. That way the evening still works for everyone and your ticket does not go to waste.

The reason: for events on site, the room and the catering are ordered on the basis of the number of registrations and are binding from the moment of booking. The formats are also built differently and carry different cost structures. Where an event departs from this, it is stated on the relevant event page.

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone an event, for instance in the case of illness or too few registrations. If that happens you receive the full amount back or a place on a replacement date, whichever you prefer. Further claims, for example for travel or accommodation costs, are excluded.

For live calls in the course or in the membership, an individual date can be moved. The new date is announced in good time and the call is made up.

8 Use of the content and intellectual property

All content in these offers is the intellectual property of SatoShe GmbH and is protected by copyright. This applies to videos and recordings just as it does to course materials, presentations, checklists, templates, texts, graphics and the way the programmes are structured.

With your booking you receive a personal, non-transferable right to use this content yourself for the duration of your access. No rights in the content are acquired with it.

Videos and recordings may not be downloaded, recorded, photographed, copied, stored, passed on, made publicly accessible, streamed, translated, edited or distributed. The same applies to all other materials.

Use for your own course, consulting or training offers is prohibited, as is the use of the content as training material for artificial intelligence systems.

Access credentials are personal and may not be shared. In the event of a breach we can block access with immediate effect, without any entitlement to a refund arising. Further claims for damages are reserved.

What is discussed in the protected space of the community and in live calls stays there. That is the condition for women being able to speak openly about money.

9 How we treat each other

SatoShe is a space for women in which every question may be asked. We expect all participants to treat each other with respect.

Advertising your own products, recruiting participants and passing on investment recommendations inside the community are not permitted. In the case of repeated breaches we can end access.

10 Education, not investment advice

SatoShe teaches how Bitcoin works and the economic context it sits in. We give no investment recommendations, manage no assets and sell no financial products. What you do with what you learn is your decision, ideally together with professionals you trust.

Decisions about buying, holding or selling Bitcoin are yours alone. We accept no liability for losses arising from such decisions.

Self-custody means that you alone have access to your keys. If the recovery phrase is lost, access is lost for good. We never have access to your wallet at any point and we never ask for your keys.

11 Liability

We are liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence is excluded as far as the law permits. Liability for damage to life, body and health is not excluded.

We accept no liability for outages of the platforms in use, for interruptions to the internet connection or for the content of linked websites.

12 Changes to these terms

We can adjust these terms, for example when offers or legal requirements change. For a contract already concluded, the version published at the time of booking applies.

For memberships that are running, we give at least 30 days' notice of material changes before they take effect. If you do not agree with them, you can cancel up to that point.

13 Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding the rules of private international law and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

The place of jurisdiction is Baar in the Canton of Zug, the registered office of the company. Mandatory places of jurisdiction for consumers remain unaffected.

Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the remaining provisions stay unaffected.
