SatoShe Sessions

Bitcoin evenings for women

In Zurich and online, every month

Monthly education evenings in Zurich and online where women discover Bitcoin together, in a safe, relaxed and judgement free space. The evenings in Zurich are usually held in German, selected formats run entirely in English, and the language is always stated on the event page.

The evening

Learning together is simply better.

The SatoShe Sessions are my live events, in person and online, for women who are curious about Bitcoin. Whether you are right at the start or already well into it, these evenings are your space to ask questions, share what you have learned and build financial confidence alongside other women.

The Bitcoin space is heavily male dominated. That is exactly why this protected setting exists. It makes it easier to ask openly, even when you feel you are late to the subject.

A word on language before you book. The evenings in Zurich are usually held in German, because that is what most of the room speaks. Selected formats run entirely in English, and every event page states which language applies. We also travel: most recently we hosted a SatoShe Soirée at BTC Prague in June 2026, and international events like that one are in English throughout.

Every evening is different. There is a new topic and a new talk each time, sometimes with guest speakers, and only women take the stage. Even our photographers are women. There are always drinks and something to eat in beautiful rooms, because an evening should be a pleasure and still send you home with something I consider essential general knowledge.

What to expect

How an evening unfolds

About two hours, structured enough to take something away and open enough for real conversation.

A focused talk

Short and focused on one specific topic, 30 to 40 minutes. Always with substance, never a sales pitch. In Zurich this part is usually in German; in our English formats and at international events it is in English.

Open questions

Every question is welcome, including the ones you would not dare ask elsewhere.

Honest conversation

About money, risk, freedom and how all of that actually feels in everyday life.

A supportive community

A warm room where questions are welcome and nobody assumes you already know the jargon.

What a SatoShe Session feels like

Curated spaces, honest conversation, and women who arrive with the same questions.

Good to know

Who the sessions are for

The sessions are for you if you ...

  • finally want to understand Bitcoin properly, in a room where every question is welcome
  • keep hearing about Bitcoin at work and are looking for clarity
  • care about long term financial independence
  • are right at the beginning, because beginners are expressly welcome

Practical information

  • Women only, from age 16
  • Location: Zurich, central and easy to reach
  • Format: keynotes, panels and open discussion, a new topic every time
  • Language: usually German in Zurich, selected formats entirely in English, international events such as BTC Prague in English. The language is stated on every event page.
  • A medium sized group, so that it stays personal
  • Drinks and something to eat are included

Who is in the room

Women between 20 and 75

Do not be shy. Women of every age, every background and every profession sit side by side here, from students to retirees. Feel free to push that upper age limit further still.

No prior knowledge and no preparation are needed, only curiosity and an open mind. Every evening has its own dynamic, because a different group of women comes together each time.

Where it all started

The Sessions were where SatoShe began

SatoShe came about because I wanted to make Bitcoin more accessible to women. Away from the idea that it is an investment play, a scam or simply too technical. Towards the moment when a woman says: there is far more to this than I assumed.

So I set out to give talks for women in Zurich. The first SatoShe Session took place in February 2024. It has run every month since.

A great deal has grown around it since then: podcast invitations, appearances at conferences, our own programme, our own community and workshops for companies. The monthly sessions have remained the heart of it all.

Take part

Would you like to shape an evening?

The Sessions live on women bringing their knowledge and their networks.

Would you like to speak?

Only women take the SatoShe stage. If you have a topic that fits Bitcoin, money or financial self determination, I would love to hear your proposal. Talks in Zurich are usually in German, and we also programme English language formats, so both work.

Would your company like to support an evening?

I take on sponsorship partnerships selectively, so that they fit the brand and the evening. As a partner you reach a curated network of professional women in the room, plus around 10,000 followers on LinkedIn, an average of roughly 50,000 impressions per event across all channels, and the readers of SatoShe Signals.

For members

With the annual membership you are in four times a year

The annual SatoShe Circle membership includes four session tickets a year, worth up to CHF 316. All members additionally get 20 per cent off every further session and priority access to the larger summer and winter formats.

If Zurich is out of reach for you, the membership still works. Its core is twelve monthly live calls in English with women from several countries, and those you can join from anywhere. The session tickets are a bonus on top.

What comes up again and again

The same four things, evening after evening

When I lay the feedback of the last two years side by side, the same four words keep appearing: inspiring, relaxed, honest, connecting. Women write about a mix of lightness and depth, about not being afraid of stupid questions, and about nobody showing off.

Many of them mention the atmosphere in the room before they mention the content. That it felt warm. That they dared to speak. That they ended up in conversation with women they would never otherwise have met, from students to board directors. And almost all of them write the same sentence at some point: that they will be back next time.

What is hard to put into words is the dynamic itself. Every evening is different, because a different group of women comes together each time. Some things you simply have to be in the room for.

Before your first time

What you might want to know first

Can I come on my own?
Yes, and most women do. Nearly everyone comes alone the first time, and the group is remarkably welcoming. You will be greeted, you will end up in conversation, and nobody is left standing in a corner. If you would rather come as a pair, bring a friend along, she just needs her own ticket.
Do I need any prior knowledge?
No. Women come who have never had anything to do with Bitcoin, and women who have been in it for years. Both find something: every evening has a new talk on a different topic, so that beginners and returning guests both get their money's worth.
What should I wear?
Whatever is comfortable for you. There is no dress code. Some come straight from the office, others in jeans. Both are fine.
Do I need to speak German?
Not necessarily, and this is worth explaining properly. The talks at the sessions in Zurich are usually in German, so German helps if you want to follow every word of the presentation. For the networking it is no obstacle at all: most participants speak English, plenty of them are expats themselves, and you will have no trouble getting into conversation while your German is still finding its feet. The pure networking evenings without a talk, such as the brunch, Bitcoin & Bubbles or the Summer Soirée, are open in every language: most guests speak English anyway. Selected formats run entirely in English, and our international events, such as the soirée at BTC Prague, are in English throughout. The language is stated on every event page, so you always know before you book. If you would like a format that is fully in English every single month, the SatoShe Circle membership is the better fit, because its live calls are always in English.
Who comes to the sessions?
Women between 20 and 75, from every profession and with very different backgrounds. Bankers, lawyers, business owners, students, retirees. What they all share is curiosity and an open mind, nothing else.
What actually happens during the evening?
There is a talk on a new topic, sometimes with a guest speaker, plenty of time for questions and conversation, plus drinks and something to eat. Only women take the stage. I choose beautiful venues on purpose: the evening should be a pleasure and still give you something to take home.
I already own Bitcoin, is it still worth coming?
Yes. Many participants have been invested for a long time and come for the conversations. Every evening has its own topic that goes beyond the basics: inflation, self custody, inheritance, tax, psychology. And the group itself is the reason many of them keep coming back.
Do I have to speak up or ask questions?
You have to do nothing at all. You are welcome to listen the entire evening. There is no round of introductions that puts you on the spot, and nobody calls on you. If you do have a question it is welcome, however basic it may seem to you.
Are photographs taken?
Yes, and I flag this with every registration. The images appear on the website and on social media. Our photographers are women too, incidentally. If you would rather not be photographed, tell me when you arrive and I will keep you out of the shots.
Is there food and drink?
Yes. There are drinks and something to eat, which for me is part of the whole thing. I choose the venues with care. An evening should be a pleasure and not taste like professional development in a training room.
I do not live in Zurich, is this worth it for me?
The in person sessions mostly take place in Zurich, with the occasional one online. If the journey is too far, the SatoShe Circle membership is the better way in: its core is the monthly live calls in English, and you can reach those from any country. You will also meet women there who, like you, do not know another Bitcoiner locally. On top of that there are larger gatherings in person twice a year, and we do travel for international events, most recently to BTC Prague.
Can my company support an evening?
Yes, and I take on such partnerships selectively. You reach a curated network of professional women, plus visibility across the SatoShe channels and the newsletter. Write to me and we will see whether it is a good fit.
What does an evening cost?
From CHF 39, excluding VAT, depending on the format and the venue. SatoShe Circle members get four tickets a year and 20 per cent off after that. Tickets are not refundable, because the room and the catering are ordered against the registration numbers. If you cannot make it, simply pass your place on to another woman and let me know.

Education, not investment advice

SatoShe teaches how Bitcoin works, what it does and the economic context it sits in. We do not give investment recommendations, we do not manage assets and we do not sell financial products. What you do with what you learn is your own decision, ideally together with professionals you trust.
