Bitcoin Foundations

From confusion to clarity in 8 weeks

A structured Bitcoin programme for women who want to understand rather than speculate. It takes you from your first real question about money to your first Bitcoin held in self-custody.

The problem

You have already looked into this. But something is still missing.

You have read the articles. Maybe sat through a webinar. Maybe you have even bought some Bitcoin already. And still the feeling remains: a pile of puzzle pieces that never quite become a picture.

You want to talk about Bitcoin with clarity. You want to make your own decisions. And you want to stop being unsettled by every new headline.

That is exactly what this programme is for.

The cost of waiting

Every year you put this off, two things happen.

The first one is mathematical. Inflation carries on. Purchasing power keeps eroding. The system that Bitcoin is a response to keeps doing its work, with or without your attention.

The second one is harder to measure and easier to feel. You stay a passenger in conversations about money, technology and the future. You make financial decisions based on what other people tell you, instead of on what you understand yourself.

Neither of these is irreversible. But both of them add up.

Doing nothing is a decision too, by the way. Just not one you are making consciously.

Not knowing has never been a strategy.

More than a course

This programme can change your life.

That is not a marketing line. It is what graduates tell Lisa again and again.

Because once you genuinely understand money, you start to see your finances, your decisions and your own capacity to act in a completely different light.

SatoShe Bitcoin Foundations reaches well beyond Bitcoin. It is about strengthening your ability to make informed decisions about your own financial life. From passively receiving to actively shaping. And ultimately about taking the direction of your financial life into your own hands.

What sets this programme apart

The only Bitcoin course built on psychology and critical thinking.

Most Bitcoin courses teach you facts. This one teaches you how to think.

Lisa holds a Master's in Psychology alongside her Master's in Blockchain and Digital Currency. That combination shapes every single module. Psychological didactics, deep self-reflection and genuine intellectual engagement run consistently through all 8 modules and the Money Mindset bonus module.

Before you can change what you do with money, you have to see what you currently believe about it.

In week one you examine your own money beliefs. You meet cognitive biases such as loss aversion, status quo bias and confirmation bias precisely where they typically throw Bitcoin learners off course. You are invited to think, to question, to disagree and to arrive at your own conclusions.

After eight weeks you see money, the financial system and your own place inside it with new eyes.

After eight weeks

You will be able to

To speak with clarity

To hold a well-founded 20-minute conversation about Bitcoin with your accountant, your partner or your board, calmly and with substance.

To hold your own Bitcoin

To set up a hardware wallet and secure your own Bitcoin, without having to rely on anyone else.

To place any headline

To put any Bitcoin headline into its proper monetary context within seconds, instead of letting the news cycle unsettle you.

To decide independently

To make your own allocation decisions calmly, without being shaken by every market move or depending on other people's opinions.

The approach

Not more input. One coherent path.

There are thousands of YouTube videos and hundreds of articles about Bitcoin. The problem is not a shortage of information. The problem is a shortage of structure.

SatoShe Bitcoin Foundations builds Bitcoin knowledge from the ground up. Structured, well researched, and inside a community of women from different countries who think the way you do.

After 8 weeks you do not just know more. You think differently.

The clear path

Your path to clarity

1

Choose your format

Self-Paced for full flexibility, Live-Guided for direct access to Lisa. Both formats contain the same curriculum.

2

Work through 8 modules + bonus

Pre-recorded modules you can return to at any time, plus Funbooks that anchor what you have learned. A weekly rhythm, no pressure.

3

Stay in the community

Your SatoShe Circle membership starts the day you enrol and carries on long after the course ends, alongside women joining from a range of different countries.

Curriculum

Eight modules and one bonus module

One connected structure, week by week. Every module pairs substance with psychological reflection.

Module 0

Money Mindset

Beliefs come before facts. Examine what you currently think about money, where those beliefs came from, and how loss aversion, status quo bias and confirmation bias shape your relationship with Bitcoin.

Psychology + Bitcoin · unique to SatoShe
Module 1

What is money, really?

You understand the system that Bitcoin is a response to. Money, inflation, trust, and why the current system leads so many people to look for alternatives.

Module 2

What is Bitcoin?

You see Bitcoin as infrastructure, not as a trend. Blocks, addresses, keys and transactions, explained clearly and without technical stress.

Psychology insight: when your head is spinning
Module 3

Bitcoin vs. altcoins

You stop chasing every bit of noise. What fundamentally separates Bitcoin from thousands of other projects, and why that matters.

Psychology insight: spotting confirmation bias
Module 4

Inflation & systemic challenges

You read headlines differently. What do sovereign debt, monetary expansion and loss of purchasing power actually mean for you?

Psychology insight: what inflation does to you
Module 5

Common myths dismantled

You develop intellectual confidence. Energy, criminality, volatility: what holds up under scrutiny and what does not.

Psychology insight: why myths persist
Module 6

Wallets & ownership

You understand what control over your own assets really means. Hot wallets, cold wallets, backups and the mistakes people commonly make.

Bonus: 2,100 sats are sent to your wallet once you complete this module
Module 7

Buying & allocation

You move from theory into practice. Platforms, fees, savings plans and the fundamental questions around allocation.

Psychology insight: loss aversion on your first purchase
Module 8

Thinking long term

You integrate Bitcoin into your life calmly and deliberately. Long-term perspectives, your personal context, and how to talk about it with the people around you.

Completion: your SatoShe certificate, ready to share on LinkedIn

The journey continues

After the eight weeks you are not on your own

Your Circle membership keeps you connected long after the course ends. Monthly community calls in English, exclusive content, member rates for events. Plus on-demand add-on videos that go deeper into specific topics, available whenever you are ready for them.

There are Bitcoin women in every country. Most of them do not know a single other one in their own circle and quietly assume they are the exception. They are far more numerous than they think. In the Circle they meet across borders, and for many members it is the first time they have ever sat in a room, virtual or otherwise, with other women who take Bitcoin as seriously as they do.

You do not need to book anything extra: membership is already included in both formats, six months with Self-Paced and twelve months with Live-Guided.

Bonuses & resources

More than a course. A library.

2,100 sats bonus

Complete the wallet module, send Lisa your Lightning address and receive 2,100 sats straight to your wallet. Your first real on-chain moment.

SatoShe certificate

A certificate of completion with its own number that you can share on LinkedIn and add to your CV. Every certificate can be verified publicly on satoshe.space, by your employer too. Live-Guided graduates also get theirs anchored in the Bitcoin blockchain.

Curated reading list

The 21 books that shaped Lisa's thinking on Bitcoin and money. With short notes on which one to read when.

Podcast playlist

Selected episodes from Lyn Alden, What Bitcoin Did and others, plus German-language episodes from Niko Jilch and Blocktrainer, and Lisa's own SatoShe Podcast episodes.

Self-custody checklists

Templates for wallet setup, backup procedures and security routines. The same ones Lisa uses herself.

Conversation scripts

How to explain Bitcoin to your partner, your accountant or your sceptical brother-in-law. Tested wording that actually works.

Seen enough?

Self-Paced is open now and you can begin within minutes. Live-Guided runs as a cohort from 8 March 2027. Both contain the same curriculum and include the Circle membership.

What it really costs

Pay once, keep it for good

CHF 1'290 is roughly what a two-day professional seminar costs. The difference: you keep access to every module and every future update permanently, and the Circle membership is already included.

Many participants have the programme covered by their employer as professional development, or claim it against tax. That often brings the amount you actually carry yourself down considerably.

And if you pay in instalments, it comes to CHF 250 a month over half a year, roughly the price of a gym membership. Except that here it is your financial health at stake.

Why two paths

Some women learn best on their own. Others want a guide.

Both paths contain the same curriculum. What differs is how you walk it. Some women flourish at their own pace, with quiet focus. Others want regular contact with Lisa to anchor what they are learning. Neither path is better than the other. Choose the one that fits how you learn.

Self-Paced suits you if

  • you have already learned successfully from online courses on your own
  • your calendar makes fixed call times difficult
  • you prefer time to think before you ask your questions
  • you value flexibility over commitment

Live-Guided suits you if

  • you learn best by asking questions in real time
  • you value group momentum and accountability
  • you want a direct line to Lisa across the eight weeks
  • you want extended community access for a full year

Time commitment: plan for roughly 1.5 to 2 hours per week for module content and exercises. Live-Guided participants should allow an additional 90 minutes every two weeks for the cohort calls.

Investment

Two ways to clarity

Both options contain the same curriculum. What differs is the level of guidance, the commitment and how long your membership runs.

Your guide

Built by a woman who knows both sides.

Lisa Tscherry did not set out to build a Bitcoin education company. She set out to solve a problem she had lived through herself: the best Bitcoin education in the world was not built for women. So she built it.

Lisa holds two Master's degrees. One in Blockchain and Digital Currency, where she graduated top of her year, and one in Psychology from the University of Zurich. That combination is rare in Bitcoin. She does not only understand the technology and the monetary theory. She also understands how people learn, how beliefs form, and what it actually takes to change the way someone thinks.

Most Bitcoin educators teach facts. Lisa teaches frameworks.

As a Board Member of the Bitcoin Association Switzerland, and with more than 1,000 women trained through her sessions, courses and workshops, including engagements with Sygnum Bank, Valiant Bank and Swisscom, she brings institutional credibility and real didactic depth to every module.

You will not leave this programme simply knowing more. You will leave it thinking differently.

How you will feel afterwards

★★★★★
“I have worked in private banking for over fifteen years and, honestly, I was sceptical about whether I would learn anything genuinely new here. What surprised me was the depth: the monetary theory, the mechanics of inflation, the macroeconomic context. This course connects pieces that were simply missing from my classical finance training.”
A. R.
Senior Private Banking Adviser
★★★★★
“I had been curious about Bitcoin for years but never found a way in that did not feel intimidating. SatoShe was the first place where I could ask questions without feeling small. I had never experienced an atmosphere like the one among these women anywhere else.”
J. B.
Commercial Lawyer
★★★★★
“What made the difference for me was the cohort. Spending eight weeks alongside women who took the subject as seriously as I did. We pushed each other, challenged each other, and laughed a great deal along the way.”
C. H.
Head of Strategy
★★★★★
“I signed up because I wanted answers from someone with an academic background, not shallow takes from social media. Lisa delivered. The combination of psychology and Bitcoin is exactly what I had been looking for.”
D. K.
Fiduciary and Tax Adviser

Frequently asked

Your questions, answered

What is the difference between Self-Paced and Live-Guided?
Both formats contain the same eight core modules plus the Money Mindset bonus module, the Funbooks, a private course area and lifetime access. Live-Guided adds four fortnightly cohort Q&A calls with Lisa across the eight weeks, direct access to her during the course, a SatoShe certificate anchored in the Bitcoin blockchain, and extends your Circle membership to 12 months. Self-Paced is for independent learners. Live-Guided is for women who want regular contact, accountability and the chance to ask their questions in real time.
Can my employer cover this? Is it tax-deductible?
In most cases yes to both. Many SatoShe participants have the programme covered by their employer as professional development, particularly in banking, law, insurance and corporate roles. The SatoShe certificate at the end documents completion, can be verified on satoshe.space via its own number and can be added to LinkedIn or submitted to L&D. If your employer does not cover it directly, the programme typically qualifies as tax-deductible professional development in Switzerland and in many other jurisdictions, though the rules vary, so do check what applies where you are resident. We issue a proper invoice on request, just send a short email to lisa(at)satoshe.space.
When does the next cohort start? What if I want to start now?
The next English-language Live-Guided cohort starts on Monday, 8 March 2027, with enrolment closing on 28 February 2027. If you book Live-Guided before then, you get immediate access to Module 0 (Money Mindset) and to the cohort area, so you can start preparing right away. The full curriculum and the live calls begin on 8 March. If you want to start the full programme immediately, choose Self-Paced. Enrolment is open all year round and you can begin within minutes of purchase.
Can I upgrade from Self-Paced to Live-Guided later?
Yes. Within the first two weeks after the programme starts you can upgrade by paying the difference. After that point an upgrade is no longer possible, because the live cohort has already established its rhythm.
Do I need prior knowledge?
No. Curiosity and a willingness to think are enough. The programme builds everything from the ground up.
How much time should I set aside?
Plan for roughly 1.5 to 2 hours per week for module content and exercises. Live-Guided participants should allow an additional 90 minutes every two weeks for the cohort calls. The pace is steady but never overwhelming.
Are the live calls recorded?
Yes, all live Q&A calls are recorded and made available to Live-Guided participants. If you cannot join live, you watch the recording afterwards. Participants join from a range of time zones, and call times are chosen to work for as many of them as possible.
What language is the course in?
This version of the programme is in English, including the modules, the Funbooks, the live Q&A calls and the monthly Circle community calls. A German-language version with the same structure and the same content is also available. The SatoShe Sessions held in person in Zurich are mostly German-language events, so if you are joining from outside the German-speaking world, the Circle is the part of SatoShe that works from anywhere.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Both formats offer instalment plans. Self-Paced: one-off payment of CHF 1'290, or 3 × CHF 450 per month, or 6 × CHF 250 per month. Live-Guided: one-off payment of CHF 2'490, or 3 × CHF 850 per month, or 6 × CHF 450 per month. All prices excluding VAT. Simply choose your preferred payment option at checkout.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel within 14 days of enrolling for a full refund, provided you have not viewed more than module 0 and module 1. No questions asked, no hoops to jump through.
Is this financial advice?
No. SatoShe Bitcoin Foundations is purely educational. It is designed to help you understand Bitcoin and develop your own view. It does not constitute financial, investment or legal advice.
What if I am still sceptical about Bitcoin?
That is completely fine. The goal of this programme is not to convince you of anything. The goal is to give you a clear understanding of the subject so that you can form your own opinion. Many participants enrol precisely because they want to examine the subject critically.
I feel very late to Bitcoin. Does it still make sense now?
Many participants feel exactly that way at the start. This programme is not about catching up. It is about understanding a subject that will shape financial conversations for decades to come. Understanding the system matters far more than timing.
Is this programme suitable for women who already work in finance?
Yes. Many participants work in banking, in law firms or in wealth management. The programme looks at Bitcoin beyond the regulatory perspective and includes the monetary theory, the macroeconomic context and the philosophical foundations that classical finance training rarely covers.

Also for teams

When a new team member needs to get up to speed quickly

Companies in the Bitcoin and blockchain space book individual seats or blocks of seats when someone new joins the team. Instead of spending months piecing together what is missing on the side, there is a solid foundation in eight weeks, with live Q&A sessions and a community where questions can still be asked long after the course ends.

It works just as well in the other direction: as continuing education for the people you want to keep. Someone working in a fast-moving field who receives serious professional development is far less likely to leave.

Invoicing to the company is straightforward. For multiple seats, a dedicated cohort or a block of seats to allocate freely, send a short message.

After eight weeks

Three things graduates mention again and again

They feel far more sure-footed in conversation. Not only about Bitcoin, but about money in general. This is the single most common piece of feedback, and it has little to do with technology. It is about no longer going quiet in a group because the words are not there.

They make their own decisions. Several write explicitly that nothing is promised here and nobody tells them what to do. They get the information, and then they decide. That is exactly how the programme is built.

They can name what they do not yet know. That sounds small, but it is the real leap: from vague unease to specific open questions about inheritance, custody or tax. Once you can name your questions, you can move forward.

Education, not investment advice

SatoShe teaches how Bitcoin works, what it does and the economic context it sits in. We do not give investment recommendations, we do not manage assets and we do not sell financial products. What you do with what you learn is your own decision, ideally together with professionals you trust.

Ready to set the direction of your financial life yourself?

You do not have to believe in Bitcoin. But understanding it will most likely be one of the most valuable skills of the coming decade. And deciding to engage with it can be the first step towards taking back sovereignty over your own financial life.
