The controller for the processing of your data is SatoShe GmbH. If you have a question about privacy, the quickest way is to write directly to the address above.

SatoShe GmbH is based in Switzerland, so the revised Swiss Data Protection Act (revDSG) applies. Because we address women across Europe and beyond, we also apply the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to the processing of data of people in the European Economic Area, and the rights described further down follow from it.

2 Our approach

We collect as little data as possible. There are no advertising networks on this website, no sharing of data for advertising purposes and no profiling of individuals.

Data arises in three places: technically when the website is called up, voluntarily when you sign up for the newsletter or get in touch, and contractually when you book one of the offers.

3 When you visit the website

This website is hosted with Cloudflare. When a page is called up, Cloudflare processes the connection data that is technically necessary for the page to be delivered and protected against attacks.

This usually includes the shortened IP address, the date and time, the address requested, the browser used and the operating system. This data is not merged with other sources and is not used to identify individuals.

4 Cookies

This website sets no cookies for advertising or recognition.

The only thing used is your browser's local storage, and only for a single purpose: so that the newsletter window appears once per visit rather than opening again on every page. This entry never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to us.

If you open content from third parties, for example a video or an event page, the provisions of that provider apply there.

5 Statistics

At present no visitor statistics are running on this website. No page views are counted, no click paths are recorded and no visitors are recognised.

Should that be introduced later, only a cookie-free solution without recognition of individuals would come into question. This section will be updated before that happens.

6 Newsletter

We use MailerLite to send SatoShe Signals. When you sign up, your email address and, if you give it, your first name are stored.

Sign-up works with a confirmation email: you first receive an email with a link, and only once you click it are you on the list. That way nobody can enter someone else's address.

MailerLite records whether an email was opened and whether a link was clicked. That shows us which topics are in demand. This analysis serves to improve the newsletter, not to assess individual people.

You can unsubscribe at any time. Every email carries a link for that right at the bottom. Once you unsubscribe, your address is removed from the list.

7 Getting in touch

If you write an email, your details are used to answer your enquiry and are kept for the duration of the business relationship. Enquiries that do not lead to an assignment are deleted after twelve months at the latest.

For conversations and introductory calls we use Calendly. There you give your name, your email address and a preferred time. These details serve only to organise the appointment.

8 Bookings and participation

The course and the membership run through Circle. Your access is created there with your name, your email address and the details of the service booked. Inside the community your name and your profile picture are visible to other members, everything beyond that is your own decision.

Registrations for the SatoShe Sessions and for the free webinar run through Luma. Name and email address are processed there for the attendee list and for sending out the access details.

We collect feedback and testimonials through Typeform. Taking part is voluntary. Whether your name, your role or a photo is published is something you decide in the form itself, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Payments are handled by the payment service providers of the respective platform. We never see full card details at any point.

9 Photographs at events

Photographs are taken at the SatoShe Sessions. The registration page states explicitly that the pictures are used on the website and on social media.

10 Sharing and processing abroad

Your data is not sold and is not passed on for advertising purposes. It is shared only with the service providers named below, as far as that is necessary for the service, and with authorities where we are legally obliged to do so.

Some of these service providers are based, or run servers, outside Switzerland, partly within the EU and partly in the United States. In those cases we base the processing on the contractual guarantees of the providers, in particular on the standard contractual clauses.

11 Retention

We keep data for as long as it is needed for the purpose in question or for as long as the law requires. For business records, Swiss law sets a retention period of ten years.

Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Course data remains in place for the duration of your access.

12 Your rights

You can ask at any time which data we process about you and receive a copy of it. You can also have inaccurate data corrected, ask for your data to be deleted, ask us to restrict the processing, receive your data in a common machine-readable format so that it can be passed to another provider, and object to processing. Where processing rests on your consent, for example for the newsletter or for a testimonial, you can withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

A short email is enough. So that nobody receives someone else's data, we may in individual cases need to ask a question to confirm your identity.

If you believe that your data is not being processed lawfully, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. If you live in the European Economic Area, that is the data protection authority of the country you live or work in, or the country where the issue arose. In the United Kingdom it is the Information Commissioner's Office. In Switzerland it is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

13 Security

The website is delivered only over an encrypted connection, which you can see from the padlock in the address bar. Accounts with the services named here are protected with strong passwords and, wherever possible, with two-factor authentication.

Complete security cannot be guaranteed for transmission over the internet. If you would like to tell me something confidential, say so and we will find a secure way.

14 Education, not investment advice

SatoShe teaches how Bitcoin works and the economic context it sits in. We give no investment recommendations, manage no assets and sell no financial products. What you do with what you learn is your decision, ideally together with professionals you trust.

We never ask for your private keys, your recovery phrase or access to your wallet at any point. Nobody from SatoShe will ever ask you for them.
